life - about donna

Donna Harris was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. She is now a non-typical thirtysomething and currently resides with her wonderful parents and a very funny dog named George. Only a few neighbourhood blocks away lives Donna's sister, brother-in-law, and their four (count 'em! FOUR!) young children. Donna can be a very busy person in her role as "professional aunt".

Donna is a graduate from the University of Guelph where she studied Computing and Information Sciences and obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in that field. She is currently working in downtown Guelph as a Software Quality Assurance Tester.

Donna aims to be a Jesus-loving, God-believing, Spirit-directed, Bible-reading, hard-praying, waging-war-with-the-devil kind of Christian and chooses to worship and serve God under the flag of The Salvation Army. A fifth-generation Salvationist, she soldiers at Guelph Citadel and is presently active with the Senior Band on cornet and the Songsters as Songster Leader. She has also been very active in music camp circles in recent years both in her own region and within parts of the USA.

Donna is perhaps most commonly known for her musicking. Finding it seemingly impossible to limit her musicking to any one area, style, or instrument, Donna is well-grounded in many areas of music and is always learning more and trying out new things.

Outside of music, Donna's interests often revolve around computer-y and geeky things. However, her interests are actually extremely broad and include everything from the outdoors and nature to running, biking, juggling, geneology, travelling, and following amateur sport. She is slowly learning that she really doesn't have time for everything but retains an interest in most interesting things. How interesting.
